Michael Delaney was born and raised in Alabama and has gained extensive experience with commercial, industrial, transitional and timber properties.

Michael graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Forestry and a Minor in Business Administration from Auburn University. He is currently a Registered Forester in both Alabama and Mississippi and holds a Real Estate Broker’s License with the state of Alabama and Mississippi. Michael serves as the Qualifying Broker for Delaney Land & Realty, LLC, as well as Vice President of Delaney Development, Inc. His positions consist of land acquisition and development, timberland management, and property sales.

Michael is a member of the Alabama Forestry Association (AFA) where he was a past board member and currently is on the Forest PAC Board. He has completed a year-long Leadership Development Program with the AFA.  In addition, Michael serves on the Board of Directors for the Alabama Wildlife Federation which focuses on the conservation of wildlife and natural resources. He is also an Accredited Land Consultant and on the Board of Directors for the Alabama Chapter of Realtors Land Institute where he is currently Vice President. Recently, Michael became a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and sits on the local Mobile, Alabama Sub-Chapter Board where he is membership chairman.  Michael’s other affiliations include the Society of American Foresters, Auburn Alumni Association and the Forest Landowners Association.

To compliment his vast forestry experience, Michael also attended a ten day workshop in Brazil with the Alabama Forestry Association to study the impact of the emerging pulp and paper market on the Southeastern United States.

When not working in his companies, Michael enjoys hunting, fishing, golf and spending time with his family in the outdoors, most importantly his two sons, Jay and Ross.
