Michael Delaney, Broker

Michael Delaney was born and raised in Alabama and has gained extensive experience in the timberland and real estate industries.

Michael graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Forestry and a Minor in Business Administration from Auburn University. He is currently a Registered Forester in both Alabama and Mississippi and holds a Real Estate Broker’s License with the state of Alabama and Mississippi. Michael serves as the qualifying broker for Delaney Land & Realty as well as Vice President of Delaney Development. His positions consist of land acquisition and development, timberland management, and public relations.

Michael is a member of the Alabama Forestry Association (AFA), where he serves as the Warrior District Director, placing him on the Board of Directors for the AFA. He has completed a year-long Leadership Development Program with the AFA and has helped form and co-chair the first annual Log a Load for Kids in Tuscaloosa, which raised over twenty thousand dollars for Children’s Hospital in Birmingham. In addition, Michael serves on the board of directors of the Alabama Wildlife Federation which focuses on the conservation of wildlife and natural resources. Michael’s other affiliations include the Society of American Foresters, Auburn Alumni Association, the Forest Landowners Association and the Realtors Land Institute.

To compliment his vast forestry experience, Michael also attended a ten day workshop in Brazil with the Alabama Forestry Association to study the impact of the emerging pulp and paper market on the Southeastern US.

When not working in his companies, Michael enjoys hunting, fishing and golf.
